Day 1: Marrakech Airport – Marrakech
Welcome to Morocco!
Upon arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, you will be met by your private driver and transferred to your hotel or riad in Marrakech.
After checking in, you will have some free time to relax or explore Marrakech on your own, depending on your arrival time. If you arrive early and would like to discover the traditional markets, take a look at our guide to navigating the Moroccan souks for useful tips before exploring the lively streets and shops of the medina. Otherwise, you can can relax at the Riad or enjoy a Moroccan meal.
Day 2: Marrakech Guided Tour
Today is dedicated to discovering the highlights of Marrakech with a local guide.
Begin your visit with the beautiful Majorelle Garden, then continue to the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs and the magnificent Bahia Palace.
Continue into the historic medina and its lively souks, where you can discover traditional Moroccan handicrafts, spices, textiles and local products.
The afternoon is free to enjoy Marrakech at your own pace. You may return to Djemaa el Fna square, relax at your riad, explore the souks or enjoy a traditional Moroccan tea.
Overnight: Same accommodation in Marrakech.
Day 3: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, depart Marrakech around 8:00 AM and begin your journey toward southern Morocco.
Cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, stop at several viewpoints to enjoy panoramic views of the mountains, valleys and traditional Berber villages.
Continue to Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most famous kasbahs and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the traditional earthen architecture and winding lanes of this historic fortified village, which has also provided the backdrop for numerous international film productions.

Continue to Ouarzazate, often referred to as the gateway to the Sahara. Depending on the schedule, visit Atlas Studios, one of Morocco’s best-known film studios.
Day 4: Ouarzazate – Agdez – Draa Valley – Nkob – Alnif – Merzouga
After breakfast, leave Ouarzazate and continue toward the Sahara Desert.
Travel through Agdez and enter the beautiful Draa Valley, famous for its extensive date-palm groves and desert landscapes. Stop at a panoramic viewpoint before continuing through Nkob and Tazarine.
After lunch, continue toward Alnif through a landscape of vast volcanic plains and dry riverbeds. The area is also home to nomadic communities who traditionally move through the region with their livestock.
Continue via Rissani before reaching Merzouga, at the edge of the Erg Chebbi Sahara dunes.
Upon arrival, leave the vehicle and begin your camel trek into the Sahara Desert. Ride across the golden dunes and enjoy the changing colors of the desert as the sun sets.
Arrive at your luxury desert camp, where you will enjoy dinner and an evening beneath the stars.

During the hottest summer months, particularly July, we can arrange an alternative desert experience. You may enjoy a camel ride around sunset and return to a hotel with air conditioning, or choose a desert camp offering air-conditioned tents, subject to availability.
Day 5: Merzouga – Erfoud – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
Wake up early for an optional Sahara sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, leave Merzouga and continue toward Erfoud and Tinghir.
Travel to the spectacular Todra Gorge, one of the most impressive natural landscapes in southern Morocco. Towering cliffs rise on both sides of the gorge, while the Todra River runs through the valley and helps irrigate the surrounding palm groves and agricultural land.
Enjoy a walk through the gorge before continuing toward the Dades Valley.
Pass through Boumalne Dades and continue into this beautiful green valley, surrounded by dramatic rock formations and contrasting desert landscapes.
Check into your accommodation and enjoy a relaxing evening.
Day 6: Dades Valley – Valley of Roses – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After breakfast, leave the Dades Valley and travel back toward Ouarzazate along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.
Pass through Boumalne Dades and continue toward Kelaat M’Gouna, also known as the Valley of Roses. The area is famous for its roses, which are traditionally used to produce rose water and other cosmetic products.
Continue to the beautiful Skoura Oasis, known for its palm groves and traditional kasbahs.
Continue through Ouarzazate before crossing the High Atlas Mountains once again on the journey back to Marrakech.
Arrive in Marrakech and check into your accommodation.

Day 7: Marrakech – Essaouira
After breakfast, leave Marrakech and travel toward Essaouira, Morocco’s charming Atlantic coastal town.
The journey takes you through the famous argan-growing region. With some luck, you may see the famous goats climbing the branches of argan trees.
Arrive in Essaouira and begin exploring this relaxed coastal city. Walk through its historic medina, discover the traditional fishing port and enjoy a stroll along the Atlantic beach.
Essaouira is known for its distinctive white-and-blue architecture, sea breeze, artistic atmosphere and relaxed pace of life.
Day 8: Essaouira – Free Day
Enjoy a full free day in Essaouira.
Take your time exploring the historic medina, browsing local handicrafts, visiting the fishing port or walking along the beach.
You can also enjoy fresh seafood, discover the city’s artistic side or simply relax and enjoy the Atlantic atmosphere.
