Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech Airport-Marrakech hotel
Meet at Marrakech airport and transfer to the hotel. Hotel check in. Free and easy time. If you reach earlier and wanted to have a glimpse into the market area, read our valuable tips on how to navigate Moroccan Souks.
Day 2: Marrakech Guided Tour
Breakfast at the hotel. With a local guide you’ll take a tour of Marrakech medina targeting main attractions.
The visited places reflect the history of the Red city, Marrakech: from its 11th century ramparts to 12 century Kasbah and then the 16 century palaces and Madrasa.
The sites present a rich Moroccan style and reflect an incomparable craftsmanship in drawing intricating design. You’ll see around Koutoubia mosque, Bahia Palace in its perfection, and the Madrasa Ben Youssef with its stunning Moorish architecture.
Other place will include the Saadian tombs with also a possible visit of Badi palace: a beautiful ruined palace from the Saadi dynasty (16 century)
You’ll take a walk inside the vibrant alleys of the medina while seeing the artisans in the Souk. The market or the souks have so many shops exhibiting different staffs from lanterns, slippers, bags, rugs to modern Moroccan cloths.
After an active half day tour of the medina, you may opt for a walk in the new town or visit the Majorelle gardens. After an active day, you’ll be taken back your hotel for the overnight.
Day 3 : Marrakech - Tizi n Tichka - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Dades valley
After breakfast, we begin our journey through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, enjoy panoramic viewpoints, Berber villages, and mountain landscapes.
We continue to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most famous kasbahs and filming locations for international movies and series. After exploring the kasbah, we travel through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses before arriving in the Dades Valley.
Dinner and overnight stay in Dades Valley.
Day 4 : Boumalne de Dades – Todgha groges - Merzouga desert
After breakfast, we set off for Merzouga desert. Transfer from Dades valley to Tinghir, best known for majestic Todra gorges. Get informed about this geological fault that impresses tourists and Moroccans alike.
Take half an hour to walk in the canyon beside the river while taking nice pictures and by chance see experienced mountainers go for rock climbing.
Transfer to Tinjdad with a break for lunch.
Later on transfer to Merzouga desert called erg Chebbi sand dunes.
From the town, we arranged excursion with camels to enjoy an ocean of sand dunes. Camels are desert ships and will step on easily the sand dunes. Stop for sunset pictures on the way to the campsite.
Arrive to the camp and after a welcoming tea you’ll check in.
Take time to enjoy a starry sky at night and contemplate the milky way and live an incredible silence away from the urban life of cities. Dinner will be served, then some local will entertain you and dance around a campfire.
Sleep well in the Sahara Desert. The transfer from to the town to the camp can be arranged using a Jeep instead of camels.
Day 5: Merzouga - Alnif - Nekoub - Draa valley - Agdez - Ouarzazate
Wake up before sunrise for lovely pictures (optional). The sunrise gives the sand a fascinating range of colours. Right away, have rich and yummy breakfast at the camp. Departure to Ouarzazate via Rissani with a stop in its authentic souk.
Continue the journey via Alnif, Tazzarine then Nkoub for lunch. The stage of this itinerary give good feeling of Africa will acacia trees and black stone hills.
Transfer to Ouarzazate via the green Palm Draa valley, know for its longest valley of palm trees in Morocco. By the way, the trees in the South of Morocco produce fruit dates. Arrival to Ouarzazate in the early evening. Hotel check in.
Free & easy time to enjoy the pool at the hotel or have some walking to see around Ouarzazate.
Day 6: Ouarzazat - Marrakech
At the appropriate time, we depart to Marrakech via the alternative way of Telout village. After nice views along the Ounila valley, we join the Tichka pass. Enjoy a smooth drive in the twisty road of the High Atlas Mountains to reach Marrakech in the early evening. Hotel check in & free easy time to roam around.
Free time to see the bustling Jamaa el Fna Square, then have the last touches of your shopping or go for a nice diner to remember before going home.
Day 7: Marrakech hotel - Airport of Marrakech
At the right time, we collect you from the hotel for transfer to the airport. End of your week desert trip from Marrakeh.
