The following tour from Tangier takes you on a journey through Morocco’s historical cities and diverse landscapes. Starting in Tangier, you’ll make your way to Chefchaouen, known for its blue-painted houses and Andalusian Moorish architecture. From there, you’ll travel to Fes, the spiritual center of Morocco, and explore its ancient medina, Quaraouiyine University, and vibrant souks. Next, you’ll head to the Sahara Desert, where you’ll spend a night under the stars in the tented camp and enjoy a camel trek or jeep ride through the dunes. The tour continues to Marrakech via the majestic Todra gorges and beautiful Dades valley. In Marrakech you’ll enjoy a walking tour that covers: Koutoubia Mosque, Madrasa Ben Youssef and the Bahia Palace. With a mix of culture, history, and natural beauty, this tour provides a comprehensive experience of Morocco’s people and landscapes.

Itinerary
Day 1: Tangier - Chefchaouen
Meet in Tangier port or airport. The city has a nickname of the bride of Northern Morocco. Tangiers are proud for their city and doing efforts to make it one of the best tourism places in Morocco.
Pick up and transfer to Tangier, also known as the gate into Africa. Take a short tour of the old town and around ( optional). Later on transfer to Chefchaouen via enclosed valleys and Berber towns. Arrive to Chefchaouen where the façades of houses are painted with white and indigo. The old Chaouen has narrow streets reflecting the Andalusian moorish style.
After hotel check in, take it easy to wander in its blue alleys and see farmers selling their products in the small street market called Souika. See around the Kasbah and the main Utta Hamam Square. Then take a hike to see natural Ras el Ma Springs.

Day 2: Chefchaouen - Meknes - Fez
After breakfast at the hotel, you start the journey to Fes. Enjoy the superb views of the Rif Mountains where olive trees are planted. Arrive to Volubilis: an anciant Berber & Roman town reflecting the existance of Romans in the North of Africa. Take a guided visit of this archaelogical site, and then transfer to Meknes.
Lunch break and then start a short visit of Meknes which is a 17th century Moroccan capital under the reign of Moulay Ismail ( 1672-1727). Meknes attractions include: Bab Mansour, huge walls, medina, basin swani and the Sultan Mausoleum.
Later on Transfer to Fes. Hotel check in & overnight.
Day 3: Fez sightseeing
Fez or Fes is the first Moroccan imperial city. It holds a wealth of attractions and described as the spiritual centre of Morocco. The Quaraouiyine University of Fes is considered among the oldest in the world. Hiring a local guide in Fez is essential to have a complete visit. Start the journey with a visit of royal palace main gate. This reflect Fes artistic way to embellish the gates with ceramics and plated gold.
Later on travel by car to the ceramic quarter to see hand made artifacts with intricating design. You can not miss to see the tanneries, one of the oldest activities to treat animal leather and make beautiful authentic fabrics: from poofs, sandals to jackets and more.
Leave your car/ bus and move with your guide to explore the vibrant alleys of the old quarter. You will admire the bustling streets of the medina where merchants open their shops and where locals do their daily shooping. This experience will bring back in time and enjoy this medieval imperial city of Morocco; Fes.
After and active journey, we will collect you and take back to your hotel to rest. Overnight!
Day 4: Fez - Erfoud - Merzouga
After breakfast, we depart to Merzouga desert. On the way we cross the town of Immouez, a summer town that gives out to Sais plains. Continue through Ifrane, famous for the university of alAkhawayn (the brothers university), and its European style with slanted rooves against winter snowfalls.
After a short pause, You’ll be transferred to Midelt via the cedar forest where we take pictures of the macaque monkeys. lunch break on the way. Keep moving through the Eastern part of the high Atlas Mountains till Errachidia.
Join the palm dated of Ziz valley till Erfoud which is famous for the fossil’s preparation. Transfer to the feet of Erg Chebbi sand dunes from where you’ll have an option to take a camel trek or a jeep transfer to the camp.
Enjoy moments in Sahara desert, climb the sand dunes, do some sand boarding, watch a beautiful sunset, dinner and enjoy some entertainment with local drumers. Have a good night under billion of stars.
Day 5: Merzouga - Boumalne Dades
Optional: wake up for sunrise pictures. Then time for breakfast. Take a camel trek back to the town of Merzouga or transfer by car. Right away departure to Boumalne Dades. If it is a day market in Rissani, stop to visit the traditional market of the town.
Continue via Erfoud city, know for fossil’s preparation. Transfer to Todra gorges and on the way break for lunch. Devote some time to walk among the cliffs of Todgha gorges and along the Todra river where we exchange the heat of the Sahara desert with the cool weather of the Atlas Mountains.
Drive the rest of the itinerary to Dades valley while enjoying nice rock formation and ever green valley along the Dades river. Hotel check in Dades valley. Tea, check in and then rest time.
Day 6: Boumalne Dades - Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech
After breakfast, destination Marrakech. On the way we cross th town of roses called Kalaa Mgouna. The town is known for the festival of roses is taken place every year in May. a possible stop can be scheeduled to see the process of rose destilation. Then continue the journey Crossing Ouarzazate to Ait Ben Hadou.Time to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Hadou. The site is declared a world heritage by the UNESCO and many movies have been shot in that spot, to mention a few the Gladiator, lawrence of Arabia, game of thrones and much more. After lunch we drive the rest of our way to Marrakech via Tizi n Tichka (2260m). Arrival in Marrakech at the early evening. Hotel check in and free time to see Marrakech old medina by night and its historical and vibrant Jamaa el Fna Square. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Marrakech sight seeing
Today will be dedicated to explore Marrakech. Historical visit of Marrakech will include Menara garden, a magnificent pool surrounded by flowers and other impressive sights such as the koutoubia Mosque (the twin tower of Giralda in Seville, Spain). The Saadian tombs demonstrate the Moorish architecture with its perfection, The Bahia palace and Madrassa Ben Youssef. The guide take you to the restaurant for lunch, or bring you back to your accommodation.
Evening will be a free time and drums will draw you to the Djemaa El Fna (main city square). It’s a festival atmosphere, with snake charmers, Berber and Gnoua musicians, and storytellers illuminated by lamplight and wreathed in smoke. Food stalls on the square sell fresh salads, soups, fried fish and chips, chicken and beef kebabs and even boiled snails or sheep’s head. Finish it off with a glass of sweet cinnamon tea.
Day 8: Marrakech hotel - Airport
After Breakfast and at the appropriate time we transfer you to the Airport. Far well! This tour from Tangier to Marrakech will bring lots of memories about Morocco.
