This 8 day Morocco tour takes you from Tangier in the north to Marrakech in the south, covering a range of landscapes and cultural attractions. You’ll start with a drive through the Rif Mountains, stopping in Chefchaouen, known for its blue-painted houses. The tour then continues to Meknes and Fez, Morocco’s oldest imperial city, with its ancient university and vibrant medina. Next, you’ll head to Rabat and see an example of a citadel: the Udaya Kasbah before heading down to Marrakech where you’ll explore the Bahia palace and beside major Marrakech attractions.

Itinerary

Day 1: Tangier - Chefchaouen

Meet in tangier, the bridegroom of the North as its nicknamed in Morocco. Tangiers are proud for their city. Pick up and drive through the Rif Mountains with enclosed valleys and Berber towns. We reach Chefchaouen. The façades of houses are painted with white and indigo, narrow squares manifesting the Moorish impact.

Hotel check and start your exploration and photo session for this beautiful city of Chefchaouen. the blue of its houses stand for heavens and water! It is also thought that the blue is used to keep away the mosquitos.

Walk up and down the blue streets and enjoy people’s movement from a cafe at the edge of the utta Hamam main square. Hike up to see Ras el Ma and take the coolest view of Chefchaouen.

Hotel check in & over night.

Day 2: Chefchaouen-Volubilis-Meknes-Fes

After breakfast at the hotel, you start the journey to Fes. Enjoy the superb views of the Rif Mountains where olive trees are planted. Arrive to Volubilis: an anciant Berber & Roman town reflecting the existance of Romans in the North of Africa. Take a guided visit of this archaelogical site, and then transfer to Meknes.

Lunch break and then start a short visit of Meknes which is a 17th century Moroccan capital under the reign of Moulay Ismail ( 1672-1727). Meknes attractions include: Bab Mansour, huge walls, medina, basin swani and the Sultan Mausoleum.

Later on Transfer to Fes. Hotel check in & overnight.

Day 3: Fez sightseeing :

Today you’ll have an entire journey to enjoy Fes with a local guide.

Starting from your hotel and with a short tour in the modern Fes built during the French protectorate of Morcco ( 1912 till 1956) and then move to Fes Jdid (the new fes). Visit this 14 century quarter includes the main entrance gate to the royal palace and the Mellah ( jewish area). Then continue the orientation tour to the ceramic quarter:  best thing to know about Fes. Visit the Chaouara tanneries: an old tradition to treat the animal leather to make fabrics like slippers, jackets, poofs… this custom has resisted the time and still functioning just the way it was in the 14 century.

Navigate the alleys of Fes el Bali (old Fes) with an informative tour guide to see the deep of the 9 century medina with its medieval school called Madrasa Bouanania and thousand mosques with their significant minarets.

Get a closer eye on artisans, bazars, shops, animals. After an active walk we bring you back to the hotel. overnight.

Day 4: Fez - Rabat

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and transfer on the high way to Rabat.

Right away start the guide tour of Rabat: the political capital of Morocco and home to many administrations and foreigner embassies.

With an informative guide, Start the journey from Hassan quarter and see its past glorious minaret of un unfinished mosque and the modern Mohamed V Mausoleum with ornate roof.

Take time to see the Mechouar main square in front of the king’s palace. See the beautiful Chellah cemetery and finish the tour with a visit of Udaya Kasbah where moments of Mission impossible film has been shot.

Late lunch break and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy your free time near the marina of Rabat or walk down the streets to the modern Rabat. Over night with breakfast.

Day 5: Rabat-Casablanca-Marrakech

Breakfast and hotel check out. Transfer to Casablanca. There you’ll visit the Hassan 2 Mosque: a blend of Modern and authentic Moroccan architecture and place to more than 25000 worshipers inside the walls. The mosque has an emblematic minaret of above 200 m high. After the visit of Hassan 2 Mosque, you may wish to take a break at Rick’s café.

Visit around Habous quarter and take a walk along the seaside called Corniche.

Transfer to Marrakech. First contact with the red city. Marrakech will amaze tourists with its magic through colorful markets, beautiful gardens and complex architecture.

Check in and free time to roam around.

Day 6: Marrakech guided Tour

Home to Almoravid dynasty who started the construction of many structures of the city from the year of 1068, Marrakech will amaze you with its majestic places and schools, beautiful gardens, vibrant souks and nonstop performances at its famous Jamaa lfna square.

With the guide, you will take a walk and see the exterior of the Koutoubia Mosque, and visit the Saadian tombs and the Bahia Palace.

You’ll traverse the historical royal Kasbah district and the Jewish area called Mellah and then head to see the beautiful Madrasa Ben Youssef with its noticeable architectures and beautiful motif flowers.

Roam in the souk where artisans make their fabrics and expose them for sale for locals and tourists alike. See around Jamaa elfna and then finish at the hotel.

During the evening, you can have a free walk to see Jamaa lfna square which will be full of story tellers, snake charmers and food stalls.

In the nearby Souk, you may wish to do the last touches of your shopping and get ready to pack bags. It is not only the bags that you’ll pack, However plenty of unforgetable  memories from Morocco that you’ll bring home.

Day 7: Marrakech airport

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport of Marrakech. Sad to see you gone, but with great hope to see you again in Morocco.
